INSIDE BUFFALO

This is the story of the 92nd Infantry Division, the segregated African American combat unit who fought in Italy during World War II.  Their divisional insignia was a buffalo, in reference to the nickname given to black soldiers by Native Americans in the 1860s.

This award-winning documentary comes from the Italian director, Fred Kudjo Kuwornu, after working on the set of Spike Lee's "Miracle at St. Anna."

Featuring interviews with Lt. Vernon Baker of the 92nd Infantry Division, the only living African American Congressional Medal of Honor recipient from World War II.

This event is free and open to the public.
